2G Outfitters TESTIMONIALS

Will Campbell - Lewistown, Pennsylvania

Upon arrival to Newfoundland we met Clifford to begin the final drive to camp. That evening we checked our rifles, had a good meal and got to know all the guides and hunters in camp. My personal guide was Chris and I was doing a 1 on 1 combo hunt with a bear. Chris was very knowledgeable of the area and moose hunting in general. Around the middle of the week we had very unseasonably warm temperatures that virtually halted moose movement.. Knowing I had a bear tag in my pocket Chris and I became a little more focused on a bear and mid-day Wednesday I was able to shoot my first Newfoundland black bear. By the end of the week temperatures dropped and all 3 hunters in my group (and all 6 hunters in camp) were able to tag their bull moose. We ended up bringing 3 freezers full of moose meat home and plenty of memories. Clifford maintains a well run camp with experienced guides, you’ll never go hungry as there is always a hot meal ready upon your arrival and they send you with plenty of food when you’re out in the bush. I highly recommend hunting with Clifford and his crew you’ll certainly have a good experience and an opportunity to fill your freezer and trophy room.

 Alain Crotea

My name is Alain Croteau and I had the chance to hunt at 2G Outfitters in 2021.  The hunting was amazing! My hunting partner and I aimed at many moose during our stay. We had the chance to taste Newfoundland’s home cooking and to stay in a very well appointed cabin.  Everything there was very impressive.

But on top of all, what stroked me the most was the friendship we build in such a short time!  We arrived as hunters and left as friends.

It’s the kind of place you will want to go back year after year!

I recommend 2G Outfitters to everyone!

Never hunted moose before? Then this is a camp to consider. I was a first-time moose archery hunter and knew nothing about how to have a successful hunt. Clifford and his guides where instructive, supportive, and never complained about my rookie errors. My last hunt ended with a 12-yard shot and a 14-point Bull. What a rush!

The accommodations are comfortable: hot showers, good beds, a place to dry wet gear, and the food

was excellent. I especially enjoyed the Newfoundland side-dishes.

2019 MOOSE EXPERIENCE: Followed all direction on the web site with error free crossing.

Arrived first Sunday in October 2019 sighted in rifles and enjoyed camp with snacks and a fabulous meal.

First day same as the next 4 always had plenty of moose responding, on day 4 I harvested a nice 8-point bull on day 5 my buddy harvested a 6 point bull. There were 8 guys in camp 6 harvested and 2 passed up opportunities. Lodging and meals were fantastic, be ready to put on weight with the fine cuisine. Heading back in 2022

Timothy Gundry - Smyrna, Maine

Having never been on a guided hunt before I wasn't sure what to expect. But after arriving at camp and getting to meet everyone I felt literally like I had been here all my life I really did feel at home.

I should say that I am disabled and that aspect never once was an issue. Cliff took care of me like a brother and did everything he could to put me on a bull even when I was ready to give up and go back to camp we hunted and it paid off!!! Stopping at a secret spot "Tim's Rock" lol Cliff made a couple calls and sure enough I spotted a bull heading our way..

Now I'm 55 years old and killed my fare share of deer but when that bull started walking our way I can tell you my toe nails were shaking!!! By no means was it the biggest moose in the woods but in that moment it was to me and with a couple well placed shot's I got my bull!! What an experience one that I hope to be able to do again and there's no one else I would even consider. I will be back to 2G Outfitters without a doubt so if you're sitting on the fence don't sit to long call him and book your hunt today.

Oh yeah I didn't tell you about the 400 pound black bear that I missed the day before. And I might add that it wasn't the only giant bear we seen and yes I was able to redeem myself with a 275 yard shot on a beautiful black bear. But do yourself a favor and bring your best friend you won't regret it I promise!

This was my first time in Newfoundland and I will definitely be back. 2G outfitters is a top notch guide service with all of the experiences and amenities for a great week of hunting. Clifford was very helpful and responsive when it came to planning the trip and making sure we packed all of the right equipment for the hunt.

Clifford and his guides know the area well and worked hard all week to make sure everybody had the best chance they could at being successful. The lodge, while being “off the grid,” is very well equipped with plenty of room to sit and relax after a long days hunt as well as plenty of comfortable bunk space and hot showers.

The kitchen staff and food was very good. We always had a delicious, hot breakfast to wake up to every morning and a hearty dinner to eat every night. Clifford’s ATVs and machinery were all newer, comfortable, and reliable allowing us to cover as much ground as we wanted to in search of moose. I had a great time and can’t wait to go back again soon.

“I went on my first international hunt with family in 2018 and we couldn’t have asked for a better outfitter, we felt like a part of their family. Cliff’s mom, the rockstar of the operation, fed us like kings.

From full 4am breakfasts when we woke, to bag lunches she made for us to take into the field, to a full thanksgiving dinner (literally Canadian thanksgiving) our first night, we ate great.

The cabin/cottage on the lake was comfortable with electricity, showers, full kitchen, and comfy warm interior filled with laughter and fun stories. As if being in that beautiful pristine landscape weren’t enough, Cliff and the guides put us all on Moose and we even saw Caribou or the occasion near. It was an experience I’ll never forget.
